H. Bandopadhya, Kolkata: Paradise at Ivytop

Our association with ivytop dates back to the year 1996. Need to quote Wordsworth (Yarrow Unvisited) to describe the qualities of this place as

Fair scenes for childhood's opening bloom,
For sportive youth to stray in,
For manhood to enjoy his strength,
And age to wear away in!

Mr Ghildyal (owner - forester ) is a wonderful person THE SPOT IS A PARADISE ON EARTH the staff are the spirit of service personified and the ambience is unbelievably pleasant.

Water is no pipe dream here

Konkodi Bhat's simple pipe system at his home in Dakshina Kannada allows the family to use rainwater for half the year and lets the excess recharge the open well for usage in the remaining months. His easily replicable technique can successfully reduce groundwater usage in heavy rainfall areas, reports Shree Padre.
Eating out right

Come summer and all we want to do is reach for that chilled Coke. But not many of us realise that there are other healthier and more refreshing options available.

Turkish cuisine is immensely suited to the Indian palate, and yet is quintessentially Mediterranean in its combination of meats, seafood and vegetables.
